Psychotherapist | Registered Clinical Counsellor | Registered Social Worker | Master of Social Work

Hello, I'm Rayen (she/her). I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of British Columbia and later completed a Master of Clinical Social Work. Additionally, I have completed numerous courses through the Westland Academy of Clinical Sex Therapy and attended Narrative Therapy training through the Vancouver School for Narrative Therapy, which has enriched my understanding of diverse sexual health and relationship challenges. Over the past two decades, I've worked in the social service sector, walking alongside individuals and couples as they navigate their unique journeys.

I believe in the importance of human connection and that creating a safe space for healing are deeply interconnected. Recognizing the vulnerability that often accompanies difficult moments, I strive to provide an environment where individuals feel validated and empowered. I work within a holistic therapy model, prioritizing personalized support tailored to each client's unique needs, and I believe in addressing the whole person—acknowledging that mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being are interconnected.

My therapeutic approach emphasizes collaboration and empowerment, guiding clients to explore their strengths and navigate challenges with resilience. I am committed to fostering an inclusive and affirming atmosphere for individuals of all identities and backgrounds, creating a space where exploration and growth can flourish.

get to know me

  • What do you do to destress?
I focus on finding calm through deep breathing, connecting with family and friends, or taking a quiet moment to reflect. I also enjoy practicing yoga and engaging in guided meditations to help me feel balanced.

  • Where is your happy place?
My happy place is being with my children, especially watching them interact and have fun with one another. Just seeing them laugh and enjoy each other's company fills my heart.

  • What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
Lady Gaga in Vegas—especially because Bradley Cooper made a surprise appearance and sang with her.

  • What is your favourite way to spend a day off?
I love being outdoors, especially in the fresh air. In the warmer months, I enjoy being in or on the water, whether it's swimming or paddle boarding. When I’m not near the water, my ideal day involves gathering with friends and family around a campfire, sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company. It’s a simple way to reconnect and recharge.

  • What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?
I really appreciate a good hug. There’s something incredibly comforting about physical touch—it has the power to dissolve tension and bring a sense of calm.
